"Before lockdown I was living the stereotypical fast post modern life: live to consume. However as i've been in lockdown i've found myself enjoying the simpler things in life such as nature. I've also found myself missing meaningful contact with people in my life. These things inspired me to create this flag using an old t-shirt, natural items from my area and magazine cut outs. I think it illustrates my emotions very well."

"My collage was inspired by The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath, a book I have read and enjoyed whilst in isolation. I made it using magazine cutouts which I thought represented the imagery, symbolism and motifs present throughout the book, as well as adding my favourite quote from it."
